Wedding controversy revealed
In 2006, her wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai brought her into the public eye. Although it was a highly publicized event, her father, Dawood Ibrahim, reportedly did not attend. Media reports said about 500 guests attended, but specific details were not disclosed. Security measures at the Grand Hyatt Hotel are strict. During the wedding, security personnel instructed reporters and photographers to keep their distance from the main venue. According to media reports, Daoud Ibrahim allegedly used a Pakistani passport to travel to Saudi Arabia to attend Malook’s wedding. His plan was to attend a reception in Dubai using the false identity of Ali Miyan, which he allegedly used to travel between Saudi Arabia and Dubai. Daoud planned to stay at a farm near Dubai for the reception. However, the arrest in Delhi of Vicky Malhotra, a sharpshooter associated with the rival Chhota Rajan gang, and a retired intelligence officer, raising concerns about potential joint intelligence and mafia operations, prompted Daoud to remain vigilant. The means by which he arrived at the wedding venue in Mecca remains uncertain. There were reports of a group of women wearing burqas inside Mecca’s mosques, but their identities could not be confirmed. Later, there was speculation that one of them might be Daoud himself. After the wedding, several media outlets contacted Pakistan’s Javed Miandad. During the conversation, a media representative asked him if Daoud Ibrahim attended the “nikaah,” to which Miandad responded: “Everyone was present.”
