Mainabai Savarkar (1886-1947) was an Indian freedom fighter. She was the sister of Indian revolutionary Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. She died of old age in 1947 in the Indian state of Bombay (now Maharashtra).

Mainabai Savarkar’s father’s name is Damodar Savarkar (late) and mother’s name is Radhabai Savarkar (late) . She has three brothers: Ganesh Damodar Savarkar, Narayanrao Savarkar and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Ganesh Damodar Savarkar is an Indian politician, activist, nationalist and founder of Abhinav Bharat Society. Narayanrao Savarkar was a freedom fighter, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar popularly known as Veer Savarkar was a revolutionary freedom fighter, an accomplished politician and an author. Vinayak was a pioneer of the political ideology “Hinduism”, which he developed while incarcerated in Ratnagiri Jail in Maharashtra in 1922. He is one of the important leaders of the Hindu Mahasabha. Savarkar died in 1966.
