Malaika studied at Holy Cross High School in Tarn until grade nine. She completed her secondary education from Swami Vivekanand School in Kimpur. After completing her studies, she was admitted to Jai Hind College in Churchgate, but could not complete her graduation due to work commitments. When MTV started operating in India, Malaika was one of the few VJs selected. She first hosted the show “Club MTV”. She has shot many commercials for various brands. She appears in the album song; “Gud Naalo Ishq Mitha” by Bally Sagoo featuring Jas Arora.
