Mamie Laverock Reunites with When Calls the Heart Cast 4 Months After Balcony Fall: 'Returning to the Warm Light'

Mamie Laverock came back with her When the heart calls family!

On Oct. 1, the Hallmark actress, 20, posted a photo of herself reuniting with the cast of Hallmark’s Hearties Family Reunion event last month. Laverock – who has been recovering since falling from a five-storey balcony in May – was seen using a walker as she smiled and made heart-shaped arms next to her co-stars.

“At the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold. Returning to the warm light When the heart calls reunion,” she captioned the photo on Facebook. “I love you.”

Laverock remained in a critical condition after falling five stories from a balcony walkway on May 26, having previously been taken to hospital after suffering a “medical emergency”. She suffered “life-threatening injuries” from the fall, which happened after she was taken to a Vancouver hospital, according to a GoFundMe page set up by her family at the time, which has since been shut down.

Almost three months later, Laverock documented her return home from the hospital with a photo she shared on her official Facebook page.

“Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie,” the caption read alongside a photo of a handmade ‘Home Sweet Home’ sign featuring a picture of Laverock.

The sign was placed below a pink ribbon sign, along with a photo of a table decorated with a purple tablecloth, a rainbow and daisy balloon arch and a rainbow cake with white frosting and multi-colored candles.

“She is still seriously injured, but we will take care of her privately,” their Facebook page responded to one of the comments on the post. “She had to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far… the next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”

Earlier that month, the account shared another update on Laverock’s recovery by posting a video of her standing and taking her first steps.

“Thank you surgeon, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie just took her first steps,” the caption read. In the video, Laverock was flanked by two medical staff as she sat on a hospital bed wearing air bandages on each leg while surrounded by her family.

Staff then wheeled Laverock’s walker in front of her, and she stood up to the cheers of her loved ones. The star went on to admit that the feeling was “very strange” and that she felt “very wobbly”, but soon took a few steps with her walker.
