Mamie Laverock When the heart calls her family keeps her in their thoughts as she remains on life support after the fifth-story building collapse.

According to a GoFundMe campaign created by her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, Laverock, 19, was taken to a hospital in Winnipeg, Canada after suffering a “medical emergency” on May 11.

A few days after being transferred to the intensive care unit of a Vancouver hospital, the young actress “was escorted from the secure section of the hospital and taken to the balcony from which she fell five stories.”

Noting that Laverock “has undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support,” the Comptons said on the GoFundMe page that “we are all heartbroken, in shock, at this extremely difficult time.”

Her co-stars echoed those sentiments on social media, including Mitchell Kummen, who shared PEOPLE’s previous report about Laverock on X, formerly Twitter, writing, “Please pray for my friend Mamie. We need a miracle and the power of prayer and love .”

Laverock’s on-screen mother, Johannah Newmarch, shared the family’s GoFundMe campaign on xwriting: “I love this family, my heart is broken. Devastating time for everyone caring for Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to get through this 🙏❤️ #hearties.”

Erin Krakow also shared a photo of the fundraiser on Instagram. The actress, who portrays the role of Elizabeth Thatcher, wrote: “💔 Just donated. If you have the means, I hope you will too. Link in bio.”

Ava Grace Cooper, who plays Opal Weise, also shared the campaign, writing on her Instagram Stories, “Sending love to Mamie and family.”

“My family is sending all our love 💔💔,” added Gracyn Shinyei, the actress who plays Emily Montgomery, with a link to the campaign on her Instagram Stories.

Andrea Brooks, who plays Faith Carter, posted a link to the campaign on her Instagram stories, writing, “This is heartbreaking news for the entire WCTH family. We love you Mamie. 🙏”

Laverock had a recurring role as nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan in When the heart callsthe first two seasons, and later reprized her role in 2023 for the series’ 10th season.

Following her passing, a spokesperson for Hallmark Media said in a statement to PEOPLE, “We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our When the heart calls community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort and many prayers at this difficult time.”
