A MAN has been arrested after a dog walker died in an alleged hit-and-run collision.
Aaron Jones, 38, died following a fatal collision in Carmarthenshire, Wales, yesterday evening.

He was walking his dog near Caer Salem Baptist Chapel in Llanpumsaint.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop for a collision and failing to report a collision.
Locals were left shocked by the horrific incident, with one writing: “We just can’t believe this has happened.
“Two young children will now be without their dad for Christmas.”
Councilor Bryan Davies added the village was “so quiet” following Aaron’s “tragic” death.
A police spokesman said before the arrest: “Unfortunately the man has died as a result of his injuries. Family liaison officers are supporting his family.
“The collision happened near Caer Salem Baptist Chapel sometime between 6.45pm and 7.45pm on Monday, December 23, while the man was walking his dog.
“Officers determined that the vehicle involved was traveling northbound through Llanpumsaint at the time of the collision.
“We are appealing to the driver and anyone with information about the incident to come forward – particularly anyone in the area at the relevant time with CCTV footage.”
Afterwards, the police thanked everyone who responded to the appeal.
“Specially trained officers are continuing to assist the family of the man who died in the collision,” a police spokesman said.
