Officers arrested a man after a viral video showing a waitress who hit a plate at Nand’s restaurant.
The shooting shots showed a young woman who serves customers at a London restaurant before a man suddenly hits her face.

The 32-year-old was finally arrested in connection with the incident in Statford.
The waitress, Zahra, turned to Tictok to interrupt her silence because of the temptation that became viral after the CCTV shots were released.
She described how the Met police “grossly failed” her and criticized the answer to the “savage” incident.
The woman described the “irresistible support” she received in a seven -minute video.
She added, “So, with all the attention that the video attracted and seeing everything in the news of violence against women, violence against young women, violence against girls, I think it is important to talk about what actually happened.
“Before explaining [what happened]I want to say the more worrying than mass behavior was the failure of the metropolitan police and their behavior.
“They were roughly betrayed by them. They have now reopened the investigation.
“Thanks for all the support and attention he received on the net. And I am grateful for that.
“However, I was really disappointed and betrayed what happened to the police at the time.”
Officers have now confirmed the arrest.
A police spokesman said: “The man was arrested in connection with an incident in which a waitress at Nandos Restaurant in Stratford was attacked in March 2024.
“The 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of an attack in Stratford on Thursday, January 30th. He was taken to police custody and was saved until the date of March until further investigations.
“The Incident Investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who has information that could help are asked to call 101 or ‘x’ @metcc and quote the CAD 1872/21Aug.”

Disiting the food, the man seems to lie forward and the “slap” is a plate.
The waitress seems to be shouting something before she is quickly leaving.
Viewers look shocked as the family gets out of the room.
The sun came up with Nand’s comment.
