City have vehemently denied the allegations and have been fighting their corner at London’s International Dispute Resolution Center since mid-September.

But according to reports, the hearing has come to an end.

This is written by The Daily Mail, which claims that both sides have presented their closing arguments.

A three-judge panel will now go and consider the evidence before handing down the verdict that is expected around the world.

But that won’t come anytime soon because of the sheer amount of evidence involved.

It could be MONTHS before the Premier League giants learn their fate.

It said the city’s alleged rule violations occurred over a period of 14 YEARS.

They were initially hit with 115 charges, although that was increased to 130 after an administrative problem.

Custis: So the big question – will there be a resolution this season?

Lipton: Yes…. probably! It will take at least a month to review the evidence. Therefore, I assume that we will achieve a result around March, April. But that’s where it gets tricky.

Custis: Why is that?

Lipton: If the result goes in City’s favour, that’s the end of the matter. They will be cleansed. He will have no punishment to face.

But if City are found guilty, it will be the heaviest punishment ever handed down by the Premier League.

My guess is that if they are found guilty they will be kicked out of the league or face a huge points deduction and a huge fine to keep them out of the Premier League next season.

In addition to their alleged financial malfeasance, City have been accused of failing to cooperate with Prem’s investigation.

The investigation began only after material was published in the German magazine Der Spiegel in 2018, which stated that the club was breaking the rules.

If found guilty, City could be hit with heavy financial penalties and points deductions.

They could also be EXPELLED if found to have committed the most serious charges.

The club will likely appeal any ruling they don’t like, which means they may not make a final decision until the end of NEXT SEASON.

City have repeatedly denied the allegations since they were first announced, and recently said they had “irrefutable evidence” to clear them of any wrongdoing.

The Etihad club said it was “looking forward to putting an end to this matter once and for all”.
