Man Shot In the Head During Altercation at Brooklyn Subway Station

A 36-year-old man is currently in critical condition after being shot with his own weapon during an altercation with a 32-year-old man on the Brooklyn subway Thursday afternoon, according to NYPD press conference.

A 32-year-old man boarded a northbound A train at the Nostrand Avenue station. After the vehicle started, which was around 4:45 p.m., the 32-year-old man was approached by a 36-year-old man.

According to the NYPD press conference, the 36-year-old was described as “aggressive and provocative towards the 32-year-old.”

“Words were exchanged between the two of them, and during the words it became physical,” NYPD Chief of Transportation Michael Kemper explained. The 36-year-old raised a knife or razor blade towards the 32-year-old.

He then put down an unidentified sharp object and took out a gun from his jacket. After having a firearm in his hand, he “started walking” towards the other man in a “threatening manner” and started shouting at him.

Soon the argument turned physical. Police believe the 32-year-old wrestled the 36-year-old’s gun away. Then the 32-year-old fired multiple shots into the 36-year-old’s head.
