Mandy Moore’s family is among tens of thousands of people who will be evacuated from their homes as wildfires continue to rage through Pacific Palisades and neighboring areas in Los Angeles.
On Wednesday, January 8, This is us The 40-year-old star shared an update on her Instagram Stories after revealing she, her husband Taylor Goldsmith , 39, their three children — August “Gus” Harrison , 3, Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett , 2, and 3-month-old Louise Everett — and their pets were able to safely leave their property.
“I pray for everyone in our beautiful city. So devastated by destruction and loss. I don’t know if our place worked,” Moore wrote alongside a photo of herself sitting with her son Ozzie.
“We are grateful for the kindness of our friends that we had a place to land last night. I’m trying to protect the kids from the tremendous sadness and worry I feel,” Moore continued using the hashtag Eaton Fire.

The Instagram Stories post came after she revealed in a message on Tuesday that her family was “safe”.
“Evacuated and safe with kids, dogs and cats,” Moore wrote, adding, “Praying and thankful for the first responders.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, 30,000 residents had been evacuated from Pacific Palisades and neighboring areas, authorities said. The fiery element is partly fueled by extremely strong winds.
Winds are expected to reach 50-80 mph Wednesday night and 80-100 mph in the mountains/foothills, according to the National Weather Service X release.

Several other stars shared updates on the fate of their homes in the area.
Spencer Pratt revealed that the home he shares with his wife, Heidi Montag Pratt, was destroyed by the Palisades wildfire.
Hills The alum, 41, shared a clip on TikTok showing flames burning through the California estate where he lived with Heidi and their two sons Ryker, 2, and Gunner, 7, as well as views of the surrounding area.

“Oh wow, it’s back there!” the reality star said in the clip, showing her followers a picture of the fire above the top of the fence.
“Really…let’s go!” he added later as the flames drew closer.
“Nightmare come true,” Spencer wrote in the video.
LA Lakers coach JJ Redick and Star Wars actor Mark Hamill and their families were also among those evacuated.
