Manika Batra (born June 15, 1995) is an Indian from Narayna Vihar, New Delhi. She has been fond of playing table tennis since she was five years old, and received professional training from coach Sandeep Gupta when she was a student. At age 8, she won the under-8 state championship.

Profession
Manika completed her secondary education at Hansraj Model School in New Delhi and then studied at Jesus and Mary College in the same city. But she dropped out of college in her first year to pursue a career in table tennis.
In 2008, at the age of 13, she represented India in an international level championship.

In 2011, she won a silver medal in the Under-21 category at the Chilean Open. Manika won a silver medal in the women’s team and women’s doubles at the 2015 Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships along with Mumma Das and Ankita Das, and a bronze medal in the women’s singles at the same championship in the same year.

At the 2016 South Asian Games, she won 3 gold medals, first in the women’s doubles event with Pooja Sahasrabudh, then in the mixed doubles event with Anthony Amalraj, and finally in the women’s doubles event with Mumma Dar Si won the women’s team event with Shamini Kumaresan.

In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Manika and other members of the Indian women’s team once again won the gold medal for India.

On November 19, 2022, she made history by becoming the first Indian female rower to win a medal at the ITTF-ATTU Asia Cup Championship, defeating world number six and three-time Asian champion Nozomi Hayata 4-2. Na won the bronze medal. . At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she created history by becoming the first Indian table tennis player to reach the quarter-finals of the Olympics.
