Manish Rishi is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Kannada film industry. He came to attention for his role as Paramesh “Pammy” in the Kannada crime comedy film Operation Alamelemma (2017).

Accusation of assaulting aunt
In 2018, Manish Rishi was accused of assaulting his aunt Shalini Gurumurthy, his mother’s sister, over a dispute over ancestral property. His aunt lodged a complaint with the Basaveshwaranagar police station, accusing the actor of assaulting her and threatening to kill her over a property-related dispute. According to sources, Shalini Gurumurthy is physically disabled and in her complaint, she alleged that the actor tried to strangle her. Not only that, but she claimed his parents were also involved in the attack. Gurumurthy reportedly traveled to Basaveshwara Nagar to visit her ailing father, who was staying with Manish Rishi and his family. When she visited their residence, Rishi tried to stop her at the entrance and brought documents and forced her to sign before entering the house to meet her father. She told the media that she had not signed any documents and wanted her father to come and ask her to sign documents related to the property dispute.
However, Manish claimed that this was just a ploy by her aunt to tarnish his image in society. He refuted all the accusations and said all the stories were made up by her aunt for money.
