Manjari Fadnis (also spelled Phadnis and Fadnnis) was born on Tuesday, July 10, 1984 in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh (age 38; as of 2022). Her father, Bharat Kumar Fadnis, served in the Indian Army, so she grew up in different parts of India, including Shimla, Jammu, Delhi, Mumbai and her hometown of Pune.
She attended St. Anne’s High School in Fort Bombay, India. Later, she studied Sociology at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Since none of her family members were from the entertainment industry, they were initially hesitant to allow her to enter Bollywood. Manjari Fadnis said that she encountered many difficulties after entering the entertainment industry and lost many projects after rejecting many offers from well-known producers who asked her to “compromise”. According to Manjari Fadnis, she had to start her acting career with low-budget films, which did not do well at the box office; however, she did not give up and eventually she got a big Budget South Indian Movie Proposal.

She made her acting debut in the 2004 Bollywood film Rok Sako To Rok Lo as Suhana. She made her acting debut in the Bengali film Faltu (2006), playing the role of Tuktuki. The film won the National Award. Later, she appeared in the Bollywood film Bombay Salsa (2007), playing the role of Maya Chandhok. In 2008, she made her debut in the Telugu film “Siddu From Sikakulam”, playing the role of Sailaja Reddy. In 2009, she made her Tamil film debut playing the role of Aarthi in the Tamil film Muthirai. She made her Kannada debut as Pavithra in the film Munjane (2012). She made her Malayalam debut in 2014 with the film Sir. She plays Priya in Fraud. The 2008 Bollywood film Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na is considered her breakthrough film, in which she played the role of Meghna Pariyar. In 2015, she appeared in the Bollywood film “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon”.
Being a part of films in different languages, Manjari Fadnis in an interview admitted that language has never been a barrier in her career and she is happy to be a part of films in other languages as well. she says,
I would also love to do a Marathi film if I get a good script and role. If I can do Bengali, Tamil and Telugu gilms, why not Marathi? Language has never been an issue for me. Bengali is easier to understand. However, Telugu and Tamil are difficult. ”
