Vestberg warned investors “not to read into this” leadership move and reassured them that the business is seeing great sales on Black Friday and good foot traffic in its retail outlets.

After serving as the president and CEO of Vidéotron Canada for a short time, Brouillette joined Verizon in June 2021. She started out as the Deputy CEO and COO of Verizon’s Consumer Group, reporting to the CEO Ronan Dunne. After Dunne’s resignation in January, she was given the position of CEO.

Verizon underwent an organisational restructuring in January 2019 and split its operations into two groups: the Consumer Group and the Business Group.
