Manu Joseph is an Indian journalist, novelist and screenwriter. He is a columnist for the International New York Times and the Hindustan Times.

Manu Joseph was born on Monday, July 22, 1974 in Kottayam, Kerala (49 years old; as of 2023) and grew up in Chennai. He completed his degree in Literature from Loyola College, Chennai. Later, he entered Madras Christian College to study journalism, but dropped out and became a staff writer for Society magazine. In 2007, he received the Chevening Scholarship, an international scholarship funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, to study at a British university. At the age of 21, he moved to Mumbai and currently lives in Gurgaon, a startup satellite city in New Delhi, India.
