Randle El, 36, could be eligible for parole after 60 years because he would still have to serve the remainder of his second life sentence, even if he receives extended supervision after 30 years for his first. He could only be released if his sentence was extended.

Before Judge Barbara McCrory delivered her verdict, the victim’s loved ones were given the opportunity to speak or make a statement during the hearing. On Wednesday, five members of the victims’ families spoke as the daughter’s words were read aloud. Randle El’s family persuaded McCrory to be lenient and give the defendant an opportunity for more supervision.

The murders of Seairaha Winchester and Brittany McAdory were allegedly committed by Randle El. In January, a jury found him guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, accessory to crime, and two other firearm-related offenses.

Losing my daughter, my son, and my best friend is something I can’t learn to handle in a manual. Winchester’s mother, Justine Watson, said: “I will never be able to hug her again or tell her how much I love her. “No mother should have to experience that level of suffering. It was heartbreaking to see my daughter immobile. Even worse was knowing that her daughters would now have to live without a mother because Marcus believed she had the right to deny them that.”

I was his for 27 years. Due to a sick person who was only taking care of themselves, it was stolen from us too soon, according to McAdory’s mother, Stephanie Vinson. “I could go on and on about how amazing… she was. I strongly believe that some people, like Brittany, are sent to this planet to make a difference in the lives of others.

McAdory had recently started nursing school when she was murdered. Vinson claimed that if she were still alive, she would have received her diploma this Friday.

Winchester allegedly owed Randle El money and feared for his life, prosecutors allege. Winchester and McAdory were discovered with gunshot wounds on February 10, 2020 in Janesville, near the intersection of Midvale Drive and Deerfield Drive. Both died at a nearby hospital after being transferred there.

Five days later, Randle El turned himself in to the Chicago police. Later that month, he pleaded not guilty to the charges, which also include two felonies involving a weapon in addition to the murder charges.

From 2004 to 2007, Randle El played for the Badgers in Madison for three years. He began his career as a UW quarterback by rushing 11 times for a total of 29 yards. He switched to wide receiver the following year and played in 15 games during that time. He caught two passes in that span.
