Mariah Carey is passing on family recipes to the next generation.
The pop icon, 54, shared a video on Instagram of daughter Monroe, 12, helping out with the family’s Thanksgiving tradition.
“Making anointed greens!” she wrote the video, where Monroe can be seen helping Carey with the many steps of her family recipe.

Carey shares Monroe and her twin brother Morokan with ex Nick Cannon.
Last fall, the Queen of Christmas shared an important Thanksgiving post with PEOPLE, recalling how the dish got its name.
“It was two years ago on Thanksgiving, and I was making a pot of greens. It was so good we called it Anointed Greens,” she recalled. “Cooking for my friends and family, everything I was doing at the time, I thought, ‘Wow, this is so different than when I was little.’ ”

In July, the “Touch My Body” singer took to Instagram to share sweet photos of her afternoon at the barn with her daughter, Monroe. In the first photo, Monroe hugged her mom while wearing a riding helmet. In another photo, Monroe smiled while riding a horse.
“Day trip with the DemTwins ❤️,” Carey captioned the photos.
In April, the mom of two celebrated her twins’ birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram and Twitter. Along with several photos of her children, she wrote: “Happy birthday to my favorite people on the planet!!! I thank God for you every day! “Our love is supernatural!!!” Ooh dear, because you will ALWAYS be my baby!!! ❤️❤️ 🎉🎂🎈🎁❤️❤️.”
For Easter, Carey shared a sweet video of her two children posing with a real rabbit. “Bunny kisses and orange juice with a huge side of gratitude for everything! Happy Easter! 🐣🐰👼🏾😇🦋,” the superstar captioned the snap outdoors with some friends, in which she sang a little “Happy Easter” song.
In February, Carey and her daughter Monroe teamed up with Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West for a fun mother-daughter TikTok. In the clip — filmed at Kardashian’s Hidden Hills home — North and Monroe were performing a routine to Carey’s “It’s a Wrap” when Kardashian and Carey suddenly appeared on either side of them and began singing into hairbrushes.
The boys then tried to push their interrupting moms out of the frame so they could continue their routine until all four started laughing.
“It’s a wrap! But never for us!” the The Kardashians the star wrote the clip.
