Mariska Hargitay shines in silver!
On Tuesday night, Law and order: SVU star joined former and current cast members to attend the show’s 25th anniversary celebration in New York.
Hargitay, 59, arrived in a Self-Portrait Twisted Sequined Midi Dress – which currently retails for $612. She paired the sparkling ensemble with a pair of black strappy heels, crystal earrings, two silver rings, a string of silver bracelets on one wrist and a diamond tennis bracelet on the other.
The actress’ glamorous look included soft brown eyeshadow with deep nude lipstick and soft wavy curls.

She was joined on the red carpet by her husband, who is almost 20 years younger, actor Peter Hermann. The Blue blood the actor, 56, wore a navy blue brushed leather jacket with a white collared shirt and a pair of black jeans.
While on the red carpet, the actress joked to Entertainment Tonight and shared how she was “served with glitter.”

Law and order: SVU Celebrates 25 seasons with a party in New York: See the photos!
Ahead of Thursday’s Season 25 premiere, Hargitay recently spoke with PEOPLE about celebrating the NBC series and turning 60 this month.
During the conversation, she exclusively shared with PEOPLE what it’s like to celebrate 25 years like her Law and order: SVU character, Olivia Benson.
“I have two diametrically opposed answers. One is that I can’t believe that 25 years have passed, a quarter of a century! And the second thing is, I can’t see it any other way,” shared the actress.
“I can’t imagine the show ending and I can’t imagine not going on this journey with my cast, my crew. I have so much to look forward to. And I’m still growing. I love that you can be so many things at the same time. It’s learning to give yourself permission to be yourself.”

In addition to celebrating the series milestone, Hargitay will celebrate his 60th birthday on January 23rd.
“I was never afraid of getting old,” Hargitay told PEOPLE. “I didn’t get the role [on SVU] until I was 35, and then the show continued as I got older. At 45, we were in a relationship for ten years and I just met my husband [when Hermann had a guest role on the show.] The man of my dreams. I got married at 40. I had August [her eldest son] at 42. It was like defying all odds.”
“I won an Emmy [in 2006] and all these major things continued to happen. I didn’t take anything for granted – added the actress. “I’m counting my lucky stars. How did I get here? And why does no one care how old I am?”
