With Birmingham City, Bellingham accepted a two-year scholarship that would start in July 2019. He took part in the Portuguese first team training camp.
In January 2020, he was allegedly pursued by a number of top clubs. On the final day of the transfer window, Birmingham reportedly rejected a $20 million bid from Manchester United.
