Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Giordano was injured during a game against the Arizona Coyotes. He crashed into the boards after losing his balance on the ice. The fall occurred in the first period, and he had to leave the game with help.
His trainer, Sheldon Keefe, said Mark suffered a head injury in the accident. But they are not sure how serious it is. This is only Mark’s second game back after taking a break because his father passed away.
Mark’s injury makes things difficult for the Maple Leafs as another defenseman, Timothy Liljegren, was already sidelined with an injury. Without Mark, they had to put forward Mitch Marner on defense for some parts of the game. They don’t know yet if Mark will be able to play in the next game against the Rangers.

Who is Mark Giordano?
