“Gucci at the Globes with my one real ❤️,” he wrote in the caption.

While it’s hard to tell what the songwriter/producer meant in his speeches — that he took home the award for Best Original Song either for co-writing “I’m Just Ken” with Andrew Wyatt or for his collaboration with Dua Lipa on “Dance Night” — it seems as if he intended to shout Barbie director Greta Gerwig and specific lyrics from songs.

Ronson and other musicians who contributed original songs Barbie could still bring home a major trophy this awards season as multiple have been shortlisted for the 2024 Oscars and several have already received Grammy nominations.

At the upcoming Grammy Awards, the original score from the film received an incredible 11 nominations. In fact, the best song written for the visual media category is almost exclusively from songs Barbie (“Barbie World”, “Dance the Night”, “I’m Just Ken” and “What Was I Made For”), except for Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Songs like “Dance the Night” and “What Was I Made For?” both are in the coveted song of the year category, among other nominations.
