“Of all my projects, this is the tastiest,” joked the director of Meta

Mark Zuckerberg is working on a “fun” new project with a little help from his daughters!

On Tuesday, Meta’s 39-year-old CEO revealed on Instagram that he and his children are raising cattle in Hawaii with the goal of creating “some of the best quality beef in the world.”

The post included a photo of a smiling Zuckerberg eating a large piece of meat, presumably from one of the cows they raised.

The father of three said the cattle raised on their Kauai property, known as Ko’olau Ranch, are “wagyu and angus.” The cows will live on a strict diet of macadamia nut meal and beer grown and produced on the ranch, he added.

“Of all my projects, this is the tastiest,” Zuckerberg joked in the description.

Each cow on the ranch eats between 5,000 and 10,000 pounds. of food a year, according to the billionaire — and daughters Maxima “Max,” 7, and August, 5, helped plant the macadamia trees needed to feed the cattle while tending to the other animals on the ranch. (Aurelia, who was born in March 2023, is currently too young to help.)

“We’re still at the beginning of the journey and it’s fun to improve it every season,” the dad wrote.

A spokesperson for Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan previously told PEOPLE in a statement that the couple “value the time their family spends at Ko’olau Ranch and in the local community and are committed to preserving the natural beauty of the ranch.”

“When they acquired the property, they voided the existing agreement that allowed parts of the property to be subdivided into 80 luxury homes. Under their care, less than one percent of the total land is developed, with the vast majority devoted to agriculture, livestock, conservation, open space and wildlife conservation,” the statement continued. “This includes a large livestock program, organic ginger and turmeric farms, a nursery dedicated to restoring native plants and a partnership with Kauai’s leading wildlife conservationists to protect native birds and other endangered wildlife populations.”
