On Wednesday, Replaced at birth alum, 58, shared that her oldest child, daughter Sarah Rose Grandalski, is expecting a girl.

In an announcement post, Matlin uploaded a video to Instagram of her 27-year-old walking past her as she sat at an outdoor table with a slice of cake in front of her. As Grandalski walked by, the actress grabbed her daughter’s wrist to stop her and pull her closer.

“It’s a girl!” Matlin said while also speaking in sign language as her daughter turned the cake over to show that it was pink on the inside.
