Masaba Gupta was born on 1 November 1989 in Delhi, India (Age as of 2024: 35). After her birth, her family moved to Mumbai, where Masaba received his primary education. From a young age, she wanted to be a tennis player. But by the time she was 16, she gave up the idea.
She developed a passion for music and dance. Masaba wanted to join Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe, but her mother didn’t want her to pursue it. She then studied music and dance in London. However, her mother wanted her to try an acting career. For higher education, she studied at Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s College Premlila Vithaldas Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.

At the age of 19, she applied to attend Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai with the support of another fashion designer Wendell Rodricks.
Masaba is known for her gorgeous style and gives her collections unique names. She named her first collection “Kattran”. Masaba specializes in women’s ethnic wear in cotton, chiffon and silk with rich embroidery. She is considered one of the best designers in India. In 2017, she represented India at an exhibition, showcasing a redesign of Levi’s iconic trucker jacket. The exhibition also features redesigns by Justin Timberlake and other celebrities from around the world. In 2018, she launched a collection of hijab sarees for Muslim women who want to wear Indian haute couture.
