Matthew McConaughey Celebrates Son Livingston's 11th Birthday: 'We Love Watching You Grow'

The actor’s wife, Camila Alves McConaughey, also posted a sweet tribute on social media on Thursday

Matthew McConaughey sends his youngest son some love for his birthday.

The actor (54) celebrated his son Livingston’s 11th birthday on Thursday by posting a tribute on Instagram in which he shared his joy at seeing his little boy — who he shares with wife Camila Alves McConaughey, along with son Levi (15) and daughter Vida (13) — grow up.

“Double, we love watching you grow. Thank you for bringing so many smiles to our faces. love, dad,” he wrote alongside a photo of a smiling Livingston sitting on his lap.

Matthew’s wife also posted a touching birthday message for their son on her own Instagram page, where she reposted photos of her younger brother that their son Levi had shared.

“So… When your oldest son has such a great post for his little brother’s birthday, I give up on coming up with my own!😂😂 post it again!” Camila wrote, adding a few special words about her youngest.

“Today we celebrate our youngest turning 11!!! He has brought so much joy and learning to our lives. It’s hard to put it into words!!”

Along with paying tribute, the 40-year-old model shared a carousel of pictures Levi posted on his Instagram page, which started with a shot of the celebrant boy posing on the beach when he was younger.

Other photos show Livingston making a funny face while wearing glasses and posing with his older brother at various stages of their lives, including sitting on a rock together, having fun on the beach and making faces at the camera.

Meanwhile, Levi had his own message for Livingston, which he shared earlier on his social media.

“Happy 11th lil bro you are growing up so fast! #happybirthday,” he captioned his Thursday post.

Family certainly comes first for the McConaugheys, as Levi recently joined his father at the 2023 Game Awards, which took place on December 7 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Along with the pair walking the red carpet, the father-son duo also posed for cute photos together, both sporting smart casual looks for the event.

Matthew opted for white trousers, a dark gray T-shirt and a large gold chain, while his son also kept it simple with blue jeans and a white T-shirt under a black jacket. During the event, Dallas Buyers Club the actor revealed his first video game project, Going out.

Their night out came after Levi celebrated Matthew’s 54th birthday in November.

“People know Matthew McConaughey as an actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father,” Levi wrote on Instagram at the time.

“A man who always makes time for us no matter what, a man who is always there for us no matter what and a man who taught me to appreciate the journey, not just the destination,” he continued. “The journeys are just beginning…Happy Birthday Papa.”
