Matthew McConaughey trades his Texas twang for a Chicago accent in Uber Eats’ Super Bowl ad.
The Oscar winner, 55, gets a Midwestern makeover in a 30-second promotional teaser, and PEOPLE has an exclusive early look at the video.
As the teaser begins, McConaughey struts up to a full-length mirror with a photo of former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka taped next to him. In addition to the captured image, Green lights the author looks almost identical to the Pro Football Hall of Famer with his hair slicked back, button down and tie underneath a Bears crewneck sweater and, most importantly, a bushy mustache.

While near his reflection, McConaughey practices saying “Bears.” “Sounds good, but not human,” he criticizes himself, jumping into several attempts at replicating a Chicago accent and chewing some food between attempts.

The father of three children sometimes compliments himself — “Oh! Zooming in!” he says after one try — and tries some unconventional vocal exercises to try to get the voice right. Finally, he surprises himself with a perfect, “Yes Bears.” After confirming it’s no fluke, the star puts on his sunglasses, says it again to his reflection and walks away from the mirror.“Uber Eats 02.09.25” flashes across the screen at the end of the clip.

McConaughey debunks the conspiracy theory in another Uber Eats teaser released on Monday, January 27. The paranoid ad gives fans a hint of what’s to come with Uber Eats’ full Super Bowl ad, which will air during the Big Game on Sunday, February 9. The ad will dive into a football-themed scheme to sell food, according to a press release.
Last year’s Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial featured Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, David and Victoria Beckham, Jelly Roll and Usher. The ad focused on forgetfulness – like the husband-wife duo who called the Spice Girls the Cinnamon Sisters and the singer who thought his face tattoos were a scrawled joke.
