Matthew McConaughey’s Son Levi Posts Tribute for Actor’s Birthday: ‘The Man Who’s Always There for Us’

Matthew McConaughey celebrates his birthday with the help of family and friends!

The actor — who turned 54 on Saturday — celebrated with a football game in his home state of Texas and received a touching birthday tribute from his son Levi McConaughey, 15, in a post shared on Instagram.

“People know Matthew McConaughey as an actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father,” Levi wrote in the caption alongside throwback photos of the pair together.

“A man who always makes time for us no matter what, a man who is always there for us no matter what and a man who taught me to appreciate the journey, not just the destination,” he continued. “The journeys are just beginning…Happy Birthday Papa.”

In the first photo shared, Matthew and Levi are smiling together outside as they are joined by Matthew’s wife Camila Alves McConaughey and the couple’s other children, daughter Vida, 13, and son Livingston, 10.

Another photo shows Levi as a boy with Matthew at the stadium at a baseball game.

The pair were seen again with the rest of the McConaughey family, along with Matthew’s mum Kay, as they posed for a group shot outdoors.

The last photo shows the family sitting around the kitchen table with their arms over each other in a sweet bonding moment.

Levi’s tribute comes as dad Matthew had quite a busy day celebrating his latest birthday.

The actor was pictured with wife Camila, 41, on Saturday attending a party celebrating the launch of their new Pantalones Organic Tequila, before the Texas Longhorns defeated the Kansas State Wildcats at the University of Texas at Austin.

IN clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Matthew received a birthday cake and a bottle of his own tequila as birthday gifts as he joined the hosts Big noon start in the game.

“It’s not too early to start drinking this, is it?” Matthew asked the crowd of fans gathered outside behind him. “Here’s to 54,” he added before opening the bottle and taking a proud sip.

The actor saw himself in a second video split on the X joining the Longhorns on the field as they followed him in performing his infamous chest salute from the 2013 movie. The Wolf of Wall Street before kick-off.

Last month, Matthew and Camila announced their joint tequila brand in a cheeky promotional video that revealed them riding motorcycles without pants.

Before the funny video, the actor gave an insight into where he gets his sense of humor from earlier in October during an appearance on Whining downstairs with Jana Kramer podcast.
