Mauricio Umansky says he and Kyle Richards are ‘not separated’ but are ‘quietly’ fighting for their marriage
Back in July, PEOPLE exclusively broke the news that Halloween is ending the actress and Umansky divorced after 27 years of marriage. At the time, the estranged couple denied rumors they were divorcing, but admitted he had had a “tough year” in a joint statement posted on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Umansky opened up to PEOPLE about a difficult time in the couple’s 27-year marriage, saying, “We’ve been married for 27 years. We have a bit of a difficult situation.”
He said that “life throws you different things sometimes” and “you have to get over it”. His marriage to Richards – the first 26 years of which were “amazing” – is no different.
“She and I are separated right now, but we’re not throwing in the towel,” he said. “We’re not saying it just to say it. We’re not actually throwing in the towel yet.”
