Nicky Hilton Rothschild is the mother of a superstar!
Following her marriage to James Rothschild in July 2015, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Lily-Grace Victoria Rothschild, a year later on July 8, 2016. Nicky and James welcomed their second child, Theodora “Teddy” Marilyn Rothschild, 20 December. , 2017. About five years after the birth of their second daughter, Nicky gave birth to their son Chasen Rothschild in June 2022.
Juggling a career as a fashion designer and mother of three wasn’t always easy. Nicky told PEOPLE in March 2023 that she remains committed to “establishing equal parenting” between her and her husband.
“Balancing my kids and my fashion design business is a never-ending battle,” she admitted. “But it’s important to set the right example for kids from the start.”
In October 2024, Nicky’s children had their first sleepover at her sister Paris Hilton’s. While they were “definitely up late” at the “Stars Are Blind” singer’s house, Nicky said: “They loved it. Every minute… I bring them back to Paris, whether she likes it or not.”

Nicky and James’ first child, Lily-Grace, was born on July 8, 2016, almost exactly a year after their wedding on July 10, 2015. Nicky marked the birth of her daughter with an Instagram post in 2016 on their first anniversary, writing that they had “the best anniversary present ever, our beautiful daughter Lily-Grace”.
While Nicky leads a public life, her children are mostly kept out of the public eye. However, she does offer an occasional glimpse into their lives with pictures on social media. Lily-Grace made a rare public appearance at LOL Surprise in February 2020! event in NYC alongside her mother and younger sister, Teddy, whom she matched in a maroon dress and long-sleeved top.
After welcoming her girls, Nicky opened up about her feelings of “mommy guilt” in a February 2020 interview with PEOPLE, saying that “it’s important to keep doing the things you love” as a mother.
“Whenever I go to work, I’ll feel guilty about leaving the kids,” Nicky said. “But at the same time, I think it’s also a good example for your kids in terms of working on what you’re passionate about. I want to lead by example… Move with that balance and find that balance.”
The fashion expert also revealed that one of her tried and true parenting tactics is to show “patience and be the best version of yourself.”
Nicky admitted: “I’ve learned that with kids it’s not what you say, it’s what you do,” adding that “our kids mirror what we do so I think it’s very important to set a good example.”

Nicky’s youngest daughter, Teddy, arrived more than a year after Lily-Grace on December 20, 2017.
Years later, Nicky told PEOPLE in February 2020 that Teddy would be starting school soon and revealed that both of her daughters “just started French class together.”
“I can say ‘Hello,’ ‘How are you?’ and a few words. “I think it’s important to introduce language at an early age,” said Nicky. “Teddy has just been accepted at school for next year, so he’ll be joining his older sister, which is exciting – one rejection at one school.”
As her daughters got older, Nicky noticed that they took over her love of fashion. She once told PEOPLE, “They’re girls in the sense that they love fashion and dressing up.”
Teddy, however, wasn’t always keen on colorful fashion choices, Nicky said, explaining: “My daughters love pink and purple now. My youngest daughter used to tell me that her favorite color is gray. Fortunately, that has changed!”

After her daughters were about the same age, Nicky welcomed her sons five years after Teddy. PEOPLE has confirmed that the fashion designer is expecting her third child in January 2022, ahead of his July birth.
Paris threw her older sister a blue bear-themed baby shower in May to commemorate the arrival of her first son. And while Nicky’s mom, Kathy Hilton, missed Chasen’s baby shower, she told PEOPLE that she will be in the delivery room with her daughter.
“I felt terrible that I couldn’t be there,” Kathy said. “Nicky is easy. I run in [to New York] for all births. I’ll be there holding her hand. It will be in the next five or six weeks.”
Before Chasen’s birth, Kathy added that it was important for the family to spread love to their daughters as they became older sisters — specifically, “poppy[ing] will definitely give Teddy some extra, extra attention.” Despite the change, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star confirmed that Lily-Grace and Teddy were “so happy” and “very, very excited” to be getting a brother.
Nicky announced Chasen’s arrival in a heartfelt Instagram post on July 5. “We are officially a group of 5!” she captioned a picture of herself with a baby bump being hugged by her husband. “Welcome to the world dear boy. Mom, Dad and older sisters couldn’t be more charmed. 💙.”
The mother of three kept her son’s name a secret until March 2024, when she revealed he was named Chasen because “we always liked the name and it was unusual.”
Six months after Chasen’s birth, Paris welcomed her son, Phoenix, on January 16, 2023. While Nicky mostly keeps her son out of the spotlight, Nicky celebrated National Sons Day with a sweet photo of herself, Chasen, Paris and Phoenix on Instagram in September 2023. .
“Happy National Day to our sons! 💙 I love living this boy mom life with my bestie. 😊”, she wrote in the description of the post.
