Meet Steeltown Murders actor Philip Glenister’s famous family

Murders in the Steel City is a brand new four-part television series that retells the tragic true story of three young girls murdered in the early 1970s. Viewers are captivated by the series’ plot. BBC, but the excellent cast also received rave reviews – and we can see why.

The central cast includes Philip Glenister and Steffan Rhodri as Inspector Paul Bethell and Phil Rees as a detective duo looking to solve a heartbreaking case. TV fans will no doubt be familiar with Philip’s work on other major shows throughout his career, such as Ashes to Ashes, Outcasts, Life on Mars And state of the game.

Who is actor Philip Glenister from Murder in the Steel City?

Philip, 60, is an English actor who grew up in London and started his career at an early age as a presenter in the theater industry. He then started working as a film journalist before deciding to become an actor. Philip then entered London’s Central School of Speech and Drama.

Who is in the famous family of Philip Glenister?

Those familiar with the work of Philip Glenister certainly know that his brother, Robert Glenister, was also a respected actor. Like his brother, Robert, 63, has many impressive achievements. Fans will probably know him best for his roles in the series such as: Soldier Soldier, RushAnd Ghostly.

Philip also began his acting career in theatre, but quickly began appearing regularly on TV. His film credits include: identity card, calendar girl, Kingdom of Heaven And Tuesday.

Philipp and Robert’s father, John Glenister, is also known in the industry for having served as a director. He has impressive credits including Henry VIII’s Six Wives, Emma And Casanova.

Meanwhile, Robert is married to actress Amanda Redman, who is known for her role in New tricks and, more recently, charity hospital. The couple married in 1984 and then divorced in 1992.

Philip’s wife, Beth Goddard, is also well known in the acting world. Beth, 54, has appeared in many major TV series over the years, in one-episode roles effort, Lewis, foreigner, Dr. Martin And call midwifein which she played Pamela Dobson in the seventh season.

What was the Steeltown murder about?

The film tells the story of two detectives trying to find the culprit and solve the heartbreaking case of three 16-year-old youths who were brutally murdered. The pair were working on the case when the murder first occurred in 1973, but were unable to close it. Thirty years later, new DNA evidence allows the case to be reopened and pressure to bring the killer to justice.

As the synopsis explains: “Combining 1970s police methods with early 1970s forensic discoveriesThe Steeltown Murders is a portrait of a city dealing with the aftermath of an unsolved case three decades later and the question of whether justice will ever be found.”
