The movie’s plot revolves around Jonas Taylor, a young lady who was raised by her uncle, Suyin’s brother Jiuming Zhang, and who works to combat environmental crimes while assisting Mana One in its Mariana Trench exploration. Meiying is helping tourists on the beach when Jiuming makes a bomb out of fertilizer and commandeers Driscoll’s unsecured chopper. The octopus brings down the chopper, and Jiuming damages it with his bomb, drawing Haiqi, who engages the creature in combat and dispatches it.
Taylor fatally impales the alpha Meg in the head while Jiuming swims towards the wreckage to save Mac. Jiuming considers the likelihood of Haiqi getting pregnant while Haiqi diverts her focus to a group of dolphins swimming away. The group rejoices in their survival as Taylor makes the decision not to think about it. Statham announced that production would start in January 2022 in April 2021. For the follow-up, DNEG, Scanline VFX, and Milk VFX contributed to the visual effects. Gavin Round and Pete Bebb worked as the production visual effects producers and supervisors, respectively.
