Megan Fox Jokes She Should’ve ‘Lived Out My Leonardo DiCaprio Phase’ When She Was Younger

Megan Fox wishes she had more fun in her 20s.

The 37-year-old actress spoke about her new book of poetry, Nice guys are toxic, during a wide-ranging conversation held Tuesday at Racket NYC. During the audience question portion of the event, one fan wondered what advice Fox would give to her 22-year-old self.

“I’d go through my Leonardo DiCaprio phase,” Fox joked, as the audience laughed. The transformers the actress said she would tell her younger self not to be so attached to monogamy. “I would date all these little TikTok guys,” she joked.

On a more serious note, Fox noted that you can’t change the past, and everything she’s been through has gotten her to where she is today. She would tell herself that she had more “grace,” she said, and not so much negative self-talk.

Fox said she learned “I should be kinder to myself.”

The actress, who was raised in a Pentecostal church, said she was a “goth girl” at school, “not a cool girl”. So when she was labeled “beautiful” upon entering Hollywood, she “rejected” it. “I don’t see myself that way,” she said.

Looking back on his early career, Jennifer’s body star recalled “struggling” with movie studios, the industry and the media in what felt like a “losing battle.” Confident in her “truth” and “integrity,” Fox said she had to “believe it was going to be even” at some point, and she feels it eventually was.

“I often felt very alone,” she said.

But Fox also admitted she could have been more tactful when speaking out against misogyny at the time to get her point across.

“I was on the right side of the universe… [but] my birth may not have been the best. … [Maybe] I could have been more effective if I had presented it in a better way,” she said, adding that she has a “dark, non-PR-approved sense of humor.”

The mum-of-three, who is engaged to musician Machine Gun Kelly, said she is “a more engaged parent now” after working on past toxic patterns. Fox added, “I help other people after I heal myself.”

Fox, who writes about toxic relationships in her new book of poetry, recently said Good morning America that she had previously been involved in violent relationships with “very famous people” that were never made public.

“This is not an exposé I’ve written or a memoir… But throughout my life I’ve been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships,” she said. GMA.

She added: “I’ve only been associated with a few people publicly, but I’ve shared energy with, I guess you could say, who have been horrible people. And also very famous – very famous people. But no one knows that I was in a relationship with these people.”
