Megan Thee Stallion admits she’s a crybaby sometimes – especially when it comes to Beyoncé.
On Saturday, Megan, 28, joined Queen Bey on her Renaissance World Tour in a surprise performance for their hometown of Houston.
It was the first time the two artists performed their collaboration “Savage (Remix)” live in front of an audience. The song was first released in March 2020 on Megan’s EP Scabies. After Beyoncé jumped in on the remix, the duo won Grammys for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.
Following their performance on Saturday, Megan took to TikTok with clips of her preparing for the stage, as well as footage of what she described as herself “ugly crying”.

In voiceover, Megan says, “What’s up? This is your girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion, also known as Hot Girl Coach! And b—- I will never shut up, because I performed with Beyoncé! You don’t know how many times I cried this weekend. You don’t understand that Beyoncé is my idol. Like I really genuinely love Beyoncé with all my heart. I put on this camo because I’d go to a fucking war behind Beyoncé.”
She continued: “I would never be Beyoncé’s number one fan. Anyway, back to the crime. Me and my mom are all huge Beyoncé fans. Like my whole life. I was like, you know, ‘I want to rap with Beyoncé.’ To get the chance to go on stage with a woman that I love, as a woman who is the woman of all women — I was up there with Beyoncé. B—- that got me really excited.”

In addition to Megan’s narration, the musician also captioned the post with a heartfelt message: “Yo, I ugly cried with the lace up all weekend lol I’ll never stop screaming about this moment! I love @beyonce ALL MY LIFE, this means EVERYTHING TO ME!!! I love you 👑🐝 thank you thank you thank you thank you for everything 💙💙💙.”

Footage of Megan’s surprise performance first circulated on Xu (formerly known as Twitter) after one user recorded Beyoncé telling the rapper, “I love you, queen,” to which she replied, “I love you, Beyoncé.”
Before the surprise performance, the Houston hottie was scheduled to perform in New York over the weekend at the Global Citizen Festival. On September 10, Global Citizen Festival announced on X that the “WAP” rapper had to pull out “due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict.” Page Six reported that the hip-hop star dropped out of the lineup at the New York music festival. once the singer invited Megan to join her in Texas.
