Megan Thee Stallion is currently a hottie in charge of her career.
In an October 11 Instagram Live video posted by producer Max Julian and shared since then with X (formerly known as Twitter)The 28-year-old rapper revealed that she is self-financing her next project and that she is currently not signed to a record label.
“I don’t have a label right now. We do everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pockets. So the budget comes from me. Mother—makes hot girls,” she said in the video, accompanied by what appears to be Julian next to her.
She added, “We in my pockets, hot, so let’s make our big one!”

The “Savage” singer also said that she is not currently looking for a record label.
“I’m so excited to be doing something independently for the first time since it was just me and my mom. I’m so excited because it’s really just me until we sign to a new label, but I don’t want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself,” she added, as her collaborator shouted “hot girl productions” in the background .
She also accused her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, of sabotaging the promotion of her 2022 album. traumatized, after a multi-year public dispute with the company. The musician, whose real name is Megan Pete, was granted a temporary restraining order against her label and her distributor, 300 Entertainment, after they allegedly tried to stop the American Music Awards from using her song “Her” to promote the show.
“My publisher already told me. They were like, ‘Bitch, ‘Traumazin’ is going to hell,'” she joked in the video.
Representatives for Megan Thee Stallion, 1501 Entertainment and 300 Entertainment did not respond to requests for comment.

Megan has been in a legal battle with 1501 for years; in August 2022, she sought $1 million in relief from the label after alleging that her last two albums fulfilled the terms of her “unconscionable” contract, and in 2020 she filed a lawsuit claiming that 1501 was preventing her from releasing new music after she tried renegotiate your contract.
Last month, Megan released “Bongos” featuring Cardi B, their first collaboration since 2020’s “WAP.”
