Then he writes the numbers ‘2025’ in the sand
The video shows Meghan (43) running towards the sea on a large beach.
Then he slows to a walk, before bending down to write “2025” in the sand with his finger – in celebration of the New Year.
The mum of two then runs back towards the camera smiling.
The video is believed to have been shot by Prince Harry, 40, in Montecito, California, near the couple’s home.
No music – but you can hear the breeze.
The footage, shared by Meghan’s 112,000 followers, is thought to be a teaser for a new project.
It’s the first post under Meghan’s new tag, which is simply “Meghan.”
Meghan’s best friend, Daniel Martin, welcomed the return with his own post on Instagram, declaring “my sister is back!”
Hinting at the potential project, he added: “Watch this space…”
Meghan’s return to Instagram follows a deleted post on the app showing Prince Harry and son Archie together at a surf school.
Meghan Markle and Harry are desperate to stay in the spotlight – insulting members of the royal family is a waste of their time, an expert claims
The image was posted by professional surfer and surf coach Raimana Van Bastolaer as part of a reel – but was later deleted.
The caption read: “Don’t hate, be happy and keep smiling. Brother HARRY, let’s go to 2025!”
The image is said to have been possibly taken in October this year when Prince Harry was caught catching waves on video at an exclusive ranch in California.
He navigated the waters at surfing legend Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch in Leemore, over 100 miles from the ocean.
The video was posted on the Instagram account of Raimana Van Bastolaer, a professional surfer who lives in Tahiti.
The clip shows Harry taming a wave, with the caption reading: “In Tahiti we still call you Prince Harry.
“But at Surf Ranch, it’s my brother. It was an honor to have you surf with me and Kelly Slater.”
Fans responded that he was living his “California dream life” and implied that such passions would mean he would never return to the UK.
Vojvoda, 40, starts by surfing on Van Bastolaer’s jet ski, then pulls back and jumps to his feet as the wave rises.
A professional instructs Harry as he finds his balance and rides the man-made 6-foot wave for nearly a minute.
It is the central feature of Slater’s ranch and stretches for 2,300 feet.
It is the only such artificial wave that has been accredited by the World Surf League.
