Melissa Gorga Says RHONJ Housewives 'Speculate' About Show's Return: 'All of Us Have Zero Control Over It' (Exclusive)

Melissa Gorga knows it’s not in her power to come back The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The reality star (45) admitted to PEOPLE at the premiere of the film Devon in New York on November 8 that she and she RHONJ The costars discuss the future of the series, which remains up in the air ahead of its 15th season.

“Sometimes when we’re at dinner, we’ll speculate and say, what do you think? What do you think he’ll do?” she said. “I mean, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t, but at the end of the day, we all know we have zero control over it.”

She added: “Whatever is meant to be, will be and that’s how it goes.”

In the meantime, Gorga said that she is “enjoying her free time”.

“I enjoy it just like working hard [her clothing boutique] I’m envious right now,” she shared. “I never have that much time to get in there and do as much as I’ve been doing lately. We really have a lot of new brands.”

“So I’m taking a minute that I think the show needs, and I’m taking time to spend time with my family and I’m working hard on my other projects so I’m enjoying it a little bit,” she added.

However, the time away from the cameras did not allow her to reconcile with her sister-in-law and colleague Teresa Giudice.

“It just doesn’t matter, nothing has changed,” she explained of her relationship status with Giudice. “It’s pretty much right where it was and I just think it’s going to have to be that way for a while.”

Gorga’s comments come after more than three months RHONJ executive producer Andy Cohen revealed on his SiriusXM radio show that the hit Bravo show — which also stars Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler — may have “all fresh faces” for 15th season, after the explosive finale of the 14th season, which saw several intense fights between the cast.

Speaking to a caller who complained about the show, a seemingly annoyed Cohen said: “Okay, well yeah, we’re going to reboot the show. We’re going to reboot it. We’re going to do something different.”

“We’ll see what we do,” he said, cutting off the caller as she continued to attack most of the show’s stars. “We’ll see. I don’t know. Maybe just all fresh faces? Maybe. We’ll see.”

Despite Cohen’s response, a source close to the production told PEOPLE at the time, the show’s future is still up in the air. “Nothing has been decided yet,” the insider noted.
