Michael J. Fox Doesn't Think His Daughters Have Ever Seen Back to the Future II

Michael J. Fox’s kids are one of his biggest supporters — but he claims they haven’t seen all of his movies!

During a Back to the future panel at Los Angeles Comic Con on Friday, Oct. 4, the actor was asked about the range of characters he’s portrayed throughout the trilogy, including Marty McFly’s daughter, Marlene — and what his real-life daughters thought of his performance.

“I don’t know if my daughters saw it,” Fox, 63, said.

As for how Fox was able to portray multiple characters, he said, “We had expectations. We took it pretty seriously. We want to be great.”

Fox shares three daughters and one son with Tracy Pollan, his wife of more than 30 years. His children often appear on his social networks, where he spends holidays with the whole family and sincerely congratulates them on their birthdays every year.

Fox gives a lot of credit to longtime love Pollan for who his children — Sam, 35, Aquinnah, 29, Schuyler, 29, and Esmé, 22 — have grown into.

In a Mother’s Day post the actor shared in 2022, he wrote: “Our children are beautiful, sensitive, intelligent, empathetic, independent, compassionate, adventurous, lovely people.”

“It’s your fault,” he added. “We all love you very much. Happy Mother’s Day.”

“There’s a phrase I referred to when they gave me an honorary Academy Award — somebody told me the day before that they were talking about getting this award and being famous and they said ‘You’re famous from the ’80s,'” he said. for PEOPLE in April. “I thought, wow, that’s great. Celebrities from the 80s. Yes, we were different.”

“We were tougher. We didn’t have social media, we didn’t have any of that shit. We were just famous. Left to our own devices,” he added. “And it was an amazing time.”
