Good morning America host, Michael Strahan, is making waves outside of the familiar surroundings of the morning show.
Recently, the 51-year-old was conspicuously absent from GMA, causing curiosity among fans. It turns out that Michael has been busily involved in projects rooted in his initial passion: football.
Michael, known for his illustrious career in football before venturing into broadcasting, took to Instagram to reveal his recent involvement with Big Noon Kickoff, a show that airs before the game on Saturday.
In this capacity, he not only interviews football players, but also offers insightful match analyses.

In a lively Instagram post, Michael said: “You know who I’m rooting for today. Let’s go @deionsanders and @cubuffsfootball! #WeHere @smacentertainment @bnkonfox.”
This shows that his passion for the game remains undiminished. Although this is a new season, Michael’s involvement in football commentary is not a recent development; has been part of the football season broadcast for years.

Football was not the only topic Michael discussed on his platform. On Sunday, he enthusiastically promoted a book by one of his ABC colleagues, linking it to Colorado football.
Sharing a photo of himself holding the book, Michael wrote: “What a win for @cubuffsfootball & coach @deionsanders. Way to keep fighting until the end. My friend @mattgutmanabc wrote the perfect book to sum it up! #NoTimeToPanic. Check it out!!”

The book in question, under the title No Time to Panic: How I Tamed My Anxiety and Overcame a Lifetime of Panic Attacks, written by ABC News Chief National Correspondent Matt Gutman. Responding to Michael’s support, Matt humorously commented, “Stray’s bright smile alone is the cure for anxiety!!”
Michael made his long-awaited return to GMA on Tuesday, taking his familiar spot alongside George Stephanopoulos and Linsey Davis.
During the week, Rebecca Jarvis also joined the duo, replacing Robin Roberts, who was away on honeymoon.

Interestingly, Michael was off GMA duty all last week. It is known that he spent some of those days on vacation, while others were occupied with a significant personal milestone: taking his twin daughters to college.
While Rebecca covered for Michael on Monday, September 11, he was back on duty during the week that followed. However, there was another extended absence just before Labor Day weekend and throughout most of August, for which no specific reason was given.
