Bruno Mars and Michelle Pfeiffer seem to have struck up a new friendship years after the latter was immortalized in the 24K Magic singer’s music.
Back in 2014, the 38-year-old βLeave the Door Openβ crooner teamed up with DJ and producer Mark Ronson for their epic βUptown Funkβ that broke the latter Special upper part of the city album. In their collaboration, Mars dedicated a verse to Pfeiffer, 66, saying: “This hit, that ice cold / Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold.”
Three years later, in 2017 What lies beneath the actress reacted to being name-checked in the song during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Pfeiffer told the host that even though Mars didn’t ask for permission to mention her in the song, βI was incredibly flattered. It was really cool.”
Fast forward to Thursday, May 9, and Pfeiffer and Mars finally crossed paths and posed for a selfie to document the moment. βLook who I ran into last night! π€,β the ‘Batman Returns’ actress captioned their photo on Instagram.

Elsewhere in Pfeiffer’s interview with Graham Norton, the mom-of-two admitted, “Sometimes it was a little embarrassing,” hearing her name in “Uptown Funk,” especially while “traveling with the kids.”
“The song is playing, and my son likes it [rolls eyes],” she said. “Or I’m in gym class and a song comes on,” she added, showing another roll with her eyes. “But I love the song.”

Mars, meanwhile, is gearing up for the next dates of his Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, with upcoming shows scheduled for Friday, June 7th through Sunday, September 1st.
In March, NewsNation reported that Mars had racked up over $50 million in gambling debt to MGM.
