Mike Nesmith was born into a home where his mother was the only breadwinner. A tale is related to how his mother became rich as a result of what most people would call a mistake. Bette Nesmith, Michael’s mother, worked as a typewriter and was irritated by how many errors she made when typing. Errors forced her to restart her efforts.
Surprisingly, she created the first correction fluid in her home using the family blender. Bette dubbed the fluid “mistake out “since she no longer had typing mistakes. The fluid was dubbed Liquid Paper after that. Bette later sold the liquid paper to Gillette for $1.6 billion.
Nesmith attended Antonio College, where he discovered a passion for folk music. He subsequently began to record and perform his works. Nesmith relocated to Los Angeles in the mid-1960s to further his career. This occurred after Nesmith had served two years in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic at Shepherds Air Force Base. While in Los Angeles, he earned a position in a TV program with the Monkees band. This ensemble wrote, recorded, and sold several popular songs all over the globe.

Nesmith began his profession immediately after completing his term of service in the Air Force.
