Mike Sorrentino Recounts How He ‘Saved’ His Son from Choking: ‘Scariest Moment of Our Lives’

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino shares a terrifying parenting moment.

It’s on Saturday Jersey Shore The 41-year-old star posted Ring Camera footage taken at his home of the moment he came to the aid of his son Romeo Reign after the two-year-old started choking on his dinner.

In a video shared on Instagram, Romeo could be seen sitting at the end of a table eating his meal while his parents and an unknown loved one chatted.

Suddenly, Romeo began to choke and someone said, “It’s hot. It’s too hot?” Sorrentino quickly but calmly got up to help his son.

“What happened? It just stuck?” someone said, and then they realized that Romeo was choking. “Oh, he’s choking, he’s choking,” the person added as Sorrentino tried to help his son clear a piece of gnocchi from his throat.

In the video, Sorrentino took his son away from the table and continued to pat Romeo on the back until he started coughing and crying.

Sorrentino’s wife Lauren then comforted Romeo, hugging him and calmly explaining to the little boy what had happened.

In the caption of his Instagram post, Sorrentino described what happened as “SCAREST MOMENT OF OUR LIVES‼️”

He explained the video and told his followers that Romeo was “hunched over and not breathing.”

It’s safe to say we’re going to CPR classes now and Romeo won’t be eating gnocchi anytime soon.”

Sorrentino and Lauren also have a daughter, Mia Bella, who turned 1 on January 24.

In September 2023, the couple announced that they were expecting their third child, and in November they announced that their new edition was a girl.
