Mike Tyson’s Bare Butt Makes Appearance During Jake Paul Fight as Boxing Icon Reveals Why He Bit His Glove

The highly-anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and former YouTube star Jake Paul featured a cameo of Tyson’s near-bare rear — plus some glove nibbling by the boxing legend. Before the former world heavyweight champion, 58, was due to enter the ring on Friday November 15, he appeared on Netflix live for a pre-fight interview and, as he left, viewers saw his near-bare rear – although it appeared to wear some kind of underwear – on the fight tape.

The seemingly random cameo from Tyson’s backside seems to have caught viewers off guard — and inspired some playful responses online.

Using a video of the revealing moment to show his support for Tyson — who ended up losing to Paul, 27, by unanimous decision — on Instagram, Marlon Wayans wrote: “A–out. I’m rooting for Mike. He has zero F… but he is 58.”

Meanwhile, on X (formerly Twitter), users reposted a clip of the interview and wrote things like: “Did Mike Tyson just…. Nevermind” and “Ummm Netflix the kids are watching!!!! 🤣🤣🤣.”

The streamer himself even got in on the act, posting the entire interview and joking that Tyson’s “pre-fight interview got really cheesy.”

During the highly anticipated fight, Tyson left viewers with questions after he was spotted biting his glove several times during the bout. But it wasn’t the first time the boxing legend had displayed the habit – which some speculated was a maneuver to repair his nipple.

When asked about his biting in a post-fight interview, Tyson revealed that he “has a habit of biting my glove when I fight.”

And when asked why he does it, he simply replied, “I have a biting fixation.”

The long-awaited fight between Paul and Tyson was originally supposed to take place in July, but due to the incident with Tyson’s ulcer in May, it had to be postponed.

After the incident, Tyson’s rep told PEOPLE, “Fortunately, Mr. Tyson is doing great” after he “became nauseous and dizzy from an ulcer 30 minutes before landing.”

Earlier this week, Tyson told reporters, including ESPN, that he was “bringing the devil himself [to the ring],” “There’s no hard feelings,” Tyson, who called Paul a “friend,” said Nov. 12. “My own mother should be very careful if she has to step into the ring with me. Footage from the weigh-in showed Paul walking up to Tyson and stepping on his leg. In retaliation, Tyson slapped the YouTube star across the face and pointed at their feet before security got between them.

“Jake stepped on Mike’s foot, which triggered the reaction,” Tom Patti, a longtime friend of Tyson’s, told USA TODAY Sports. “I was there and Mike just told me.” “This is a pinch me moment,” Paul later posted on X. “I got slapped by Mike Tyson 🤗.”

Following his win on November 15, the YouTuber shared a number of posts on Xu celebrating the win.

“Thank God, my family and friends. We made it,” he wrote in one, while in another he said: “Thank you to every fighter for the congratulation last night, thank you to Netflix, thank you to Jerry Jones, thank you to my MVP team, thank you to the legend Mike Tyson for gave me the opportunity to share the ring with him, thanks to my family and close circle of friends…and above all, thank you God.”
