In an interview with The Wrap, Coen and co-writer Tricia Cooke explained in detail why Cyrus was cast as the raunchy hippie Tiffany Plaster Caster, a character based on the real-life creator of plaster casts of celebrity penises.

“I was talking [Cyrus] about Cynthia Plaster Caster, “I don’t know if you know, your character is based on Cynthia,” Cooke told the outlet. “She says, ‘I thought that’s why you called me.’ Much affection to Cynthia Plaster Caster.”

“Miley loves her d—s,” Coen joked. “And that’s her business. He loves it, and the retro hippie thing and the whole phallus shaping thing.”
