Millie Bobby Brown Reveals She Has 9 Pet Dogs and Is Fostering a Further ‘23 Dogs Right Now’

Millie Bobby Brown sure is a dog lover — and she has the pooches at home to prove it!

During an appearance on Thursday’s episode The Drew Barrymore Show, the Stranger Things star, 20, opened up about her many furry friends, revealing she has nine dogs and is currently fostering “23 dogs.”

“I actually have a 17-year-old dog that I rescued that was dumped on the street,” Brown said, adding that it’s “very sad” to see dogs in shelters. “And so now I’m in, like, nine dogs.”

“I save a lot of dogs,” she said later. “I currently adopt 23 dogs.”

Brown went on to note that she had to move out of her parents’ house because she wanted more animals.

“I live next door to my parents,” she said. “I lived with them, and when I turned 18, I said, ‘I want another dog.’ And they said, ‘No, you can’t put more dogs in your room,’ and I said, ‘Well, I want a rabbit and I want farm animals.’ So I moved out and moved into the house next door.”

“But it’s like my parents are still doing my laundry,” the actress joked.

Meanwhile, Barrymore’s dog Douglas joined the talk show host during her segment with Brown to reveal that she recently lost one of her dogs.

“His girlfriend Lucy, who’s 11, just passed away last week and it’s been so hard, I know it’s such a transition,” said Barrymore, 49. “Now, our cat, Lucky … he’s never let her go before inside, she would always want to cuddle up to him, and he said ‘No, no, no’ – now he’s like that, and I woke up this morning and they were spooning,” Barrymore added. “So it’s like they know.”

“Yes, they know and they grieve,” Brown said.

The Drew Barrymore Show airs weekdays on CBS (check local listings).
