While the real estate agents and brokers featured on the show are fighting and scrapping for listings, Vella’s companies work primarily to develop creative spaces, hotels, and high-end retail shops. Although fans might recognize him from Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles, he also popped up a time or two on Million Dollar Listing: New York, where he was often called upon by Fredrik Eklund as his No.1 developer. Vella works on properties in Miami, Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles. His life is predicated on the integration of family, work, and play, and much of that ethos shows through in his projects. Vella’s companies created a mixed-use space in the DTLA Arts District. He’s also behind the London Arts Club on the Sunset Strip.
Aside from being a real estate mogul, Vella is also a devoted husband and father to his kids, Sebastian and Cyra. Since the family splits its time in so many places, they frequently travel by private plane. His Instagram is filled with posts of him and his current wife, jewelry designer Michelle Campbell Mason, attending costume parties, partaking in outdoor activities, or hitting the slopes. The couple married in a lavish ceremony at Ashford Castle in Ireland back in 2015. Vella was previously married to entrepreneur Nancy McCormick Vella, who owns a high-end children’s clothing store called Florence Fancy.
