Giovanni Telese is an Italian chemistry student and TikToker with nearly 50,000 followers on the platform.

His videos feature traditional food and dishes that look delicious by any standard.

Until Telese squashes the food, revealing it to be made from poodle or homemade slime.

“I still can’t believe people from all over the world are seeing my work!” Telese told Indy100.

Telese uses glue, baking soda, and food coloring to create realistic dishes.

Indy100 reported that Telese spends 35 hours a week working on videos for his account, making each piece by hand or using moulds.

“It was TV cooking shows that inspired me to get into food, and the concept of bringing science and art together in my work really excited me,” Telese said.

Telese earned several thousand euros from its videos thanks to the TikTok business model and merchandising store.

“Man the more I see you the hungrier I get,” one TikTok user commented, despite the fact that the food isn’t real.

Telese’s content fits perfectly into the TikTok model of short videos with an upbeat music track and a surprise reveal.

To date, he has posted 43 videos.
