CAN you guess how many circles are in this picture? It could be difficult if you’re not paying attention.
The Coffer Illusion has confused many who have encountered it. There are a total of 16 circles in the image, but many will not be able to be seen at first glance.

“Observers viewing this invariant display for the first time do not see the 16 separate circles in the background,” Anthony Norcia, who took the image, wrote.
“Rather, they see a series of rectangles that they often describe as ‘door panels.'”
The image uses horizontal and vertical lines that easily blend into the background, making it difficult to see all the circles.
“The illusion puts segmentation cues against what appears to be a very strong previous interpretation of the image as a series of three-dimensional ‘box’ structures with closed boundaries,” Norcia wrote.
A chest is a recessed decorative panel used in architecture.
Once you train your eyes to find the circles in the image, they will be easier to spot.
In another stunning optical illusion, the image appears to show a stunning view of Earth from space.
However, the reality is quite different.
Optical illusion lovers also had trouble finding the rooster, the hen and the three hens hidden in the tree.
The intricate painting depicts a tree on a white background with five animals hidden among its branches.
If you pay close attention to the puzzle, you will see the shape of the animals formed by the branches of the tree.
And if you look closely, you’ll see that some of the leaves on the tree are actually the eyes of animals.
While another confusing image at first glance looks like a huge crowd at a concert, can you tell what’s really going on?
