The picture has baffled viewers because meat looks fuzzy and out-of-focus, while the black plastic container and wooden table are clear.

It’s been dubbed the ‘first optical illusion of 2017’ by New York Magazine, and was posted on Reddit by Melvin D*** Pic Tweet.

Melvin has helpfully showed a video of the meat in the thread, adding: “Proof for all those who doubted the realness of the ham.

Some Reddit users stared so hard at the snap that it reportedly gave them motion sickness.

Some viewers suggested her legs were draped over the second girl’s pins, creating the illusion.

While two hikers appeared to fly across a beach in the Netherlands in the below video, because several grains of sand blew past them so quickly.
