Minecraft Player Builds Statue Of Fairly Oddparents’ Doug Dimmadome

Doug Dimmadome of Dimmsdale Dimmadome and The Fairly OddParents fame has been immortalized in Minecraft, courtesy of one player’s incredible in-game statue creation of the iconic character. The popular Nickelodeon show ran from 2001 to 2017, ending with a whopping 10 seasons under its belt. During that span of time, it also received crossover episodes with the likes of Jimmy Neutron, a live-action film in 2011, and other special episodes. The quirky animated show has since returned to the spotlight because of a live-action reboot series that will debut on Paramount+. Thus, it’s no wonder Fairly OddParents creations are appearing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Minecraft.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons build, in particular, made the rounds earlier this week, thanks to a user who recreated Mr. Turner’s classic Fairly OddParents trophy meme with in-game tools. Minecraft players continue to share interesting creations as well, with one recently engineering a working escalator out of Redstone. Another extraordinary creation from earlier this week resulted in a quasar swallowing a star. Not even the sky’s the limit in the Mojang-developed sandbox, then.

Yesterday, November 11, a Reddit user shared a screenshot of their latest Minecraft build, which consists of a statue honoring The Fairly OddParents‘ Doug Dimmadome – owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome. The iconic character’s awe-inspiring Minecraft statue stands tall in a slightly wooded area, adorned in his classic white suit, black tie, and comically tall ten-gallon hat. Of course, Dimmadome’s other easily identifiable qualities made it to the larger-than-life recreation, including his thick mustache and gold belt. Check it out in the Reddit post linked below:

The Minecraft build seems an incredible way of immortalizing The Fairly OddParents character, who would no doubt be thrilled if the great citizens of Dimmsdale erected a similar statue in his honor. For now, though, this Doug Dimmadome will have to suffice.

Since its launch over 10 years ago, Minecraft has continuously provided users with a way of channeling their creativity. Mojang’s unceasing support of the title helps in myriad ways, too. The most recent update of note, Caves & Cliffs Part 1, went live earlier this year. Part 2 of the Caves & Cliffs content remains on track for a late 2021 due date, developers teased during Minecraft Live in mid-October. A firm launch date has yet to emerge at the time of writing, though.

Minecraft is available to play now across Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Android, and iOS devices.
