Miranda Lambert and Enrique Iglesias, although an unlikely duo, came together in the name of love songs.
On Friday, the Spanish singer, 48, released “Space in My Heart” — his first country music effort with none other than Lambert, 40.
“Space in My Heart,” which was recorded in Nashville, is a guitar-driven love song about opening up to someone close to you—and making space within yourself to love them.
“You don’t love me still, but I know you will/If you only feel half of what I feel”, sing Iglesias and Lambert together in the chorus. “If you ever go away, I’ll never change/There’s a space in my heart and it’s just your shape.”

Miranda Lambert and Enrique Iglesias announce ‘Space in My Heart’ duet: ‘Texas Meets Spain!’
This is Iglesias’ third single from his upcoming album Final st. 2.
The “Strange” singer and “Hero” artist announced the single earlier this month by posting a clip of the unreleased song and artwork on Instagram. The image is a sultry black-and-white photo of the two stars, with Lambert looking down and Iglesias looking into the camera.
The country star also took to her Instagram Story to share how excited she was to drop the track. “Texas meets Spain! 🤠,” she wrote over one piece of art, referring to her native Texas and how Iglesias comes from Madrid.
“I can’t wait for you to hear this,” she added.
The song is Lambert’s first release of the year and follows “If You Were Mine,” another team-up she left in June 2023 with Leon Bridges. The single was the first song released since the “Kerosene” singer revealed in March of that year that she was parting ways with her longtime record label Sony Music Nashville after 19 years.

As for the “Bailando” artist, he recently shared “Fría” with Cuban singer Yotuel, which is set to appear on his upcoming album.
The Spanish superstar’s upcoming LP will be his last album ever. He previously published the first half of the project, Final (vol. 1)in 2021.
While he confirmed that the upcoming project will be his last full-length release, he previously confirmed to PEOPLE in a 2021 interview that it doesn’t mean he’s retiring entirely. “That means it’s the last album I’ll record,” the “Heroja” singer explained. “It doesn’t mean I’m retiring – a lot of people ask me, are you going to retire?”
He continued: “No, I’m never going to retire! I’m going to keep writing songs, but that doesn’t mean I have to release albums every now and then.”
